We have owned a house in Squaw Valley for the past 12 years. One of the issues in maintaining a second home is the difficulty in finding quality, reliable, skilled professionals who do high quality work. I am pleased to report that, during the past six months, we have employed Dave Pollock and DLP Construction on several repair, installation and replacement projects, all of which have been done well and completed in a timely manner:

• installing 45 new aluminum-clad wood windows and sliding doors (replacing the original vinyl windows and doors);
• modifying a home entertainment center to accommodate an LCD TV;
• removing line-voltage light fixtures and replacing with low-voltage transformers and light fixtures;
• replacing all hardware on bathroom sinks, tubs and showers;
• replacing all bathroom accessory fixtures (e.g. hooks, towel bars and paper holders);
• repairing wallboard (filling and texturing) to prepare it for painting;
• removing and replacing damaged insulation under the house;
• replacing all hardware on cabinets and interior and exterior doors.

As you can see from this list, DLP Construction can handle a wide range of projects. Moreover, throughout this process (which all included painting the exterior and interior of the house by a painting contractor), Dave Pollack has been very easy to work with. It is evident that he and his works and sub-contractors have great professional pride in what they do and are determined to exceed their client's expectations. We are absolutely delighted with their work and workmanship. Their prices and pricing are reasonable and competitive; indeed, a bargain, given the quality of their services.

Recently, we had an emergency at our house. Our daughter, who lives in Tahoe City, stopped by our house to pick up some snowboarding equipment and noticed that an outside waterline had broken. She called and Dave was there in hours to repair the line and prevent serious damage. I have no hesitation to call Dave in such an emergency because I know he is reliable and I know he will charge fairly for his services.

I recommend Dave Pollock and DLP Construction without reservation or qualification.
